Sherlock Holmes is a fictional private detective created by British author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The widespread popularity and renown surrounding Holmes have led many to contemplate him not as a fictional creation but as an actual person; consequently, multiple literary and fan associations have been formed under this presumption.
